ECCO Wins Landmark Copyright Case

The Eastern Caribbean Collective Organisation for music rights (ECCO) is celebrating a landmark court ruling, which its attorneys say has implications for the region.
ECCO has won a civil suit against mega plex entertainment corporation – operators of Caribbean Cinemas.
The organisation sued mega plex for copyright infringement and asked the court for damages.
A judgment handed down by High Court Judge Godfrey Smith on July 25th ruled in ECCO’S favour.
