CWI Northern Cluster Grassroots Cricket Program continued over the weekend

The CWI Northern Cluster Grassroots Cricket Program continued on Saturday March 3 at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.

The program was again well attended with 66 young enthusiastic cricketers in attendance.

The program’s head coach Alton Crafton was given a special welcome by the group. Crafton was out for the past 2 months serving as assistant coach/Manager of Windward Islands Volcanoes who went on to win the CWI 2018 Regional Super 50 Festival.

The session activities took the following format:

• Prayers/ Welcome etc 
• Warm up activities (fun)
• Fielding & Catching drills
• Spot bowling
• Batting (pull shot)
( front foot drive)
• Mini cricket match

The session ended with the head coach treating participants to some delicious ice cream.

The other coaches conducting the session were, Roseline Preville, Junior Derose and Bernie Joseph.
