COCA COLA ITF JUNIOR TENNIS TOURNAMENT AUGUST 3RD – 11TH 2018

Press Release- St. Lucia National Tennis Center- As the Coca Cola ITF Junior Tennis Tournament comes to an end, the Saint Lucia Tennis Association would like to express sincere gratitude to Windward & Leeward Brewery Limited for their support of tennis over the years and being the reason why the execution of this tournament is always possible.

For 35 years, Windward & Leeward Brewery Limited remains the gold sponsor for this event and there are no words which seem adequate enough to express the feeling of appreciation. The St. Lucia Tennis Association is beyond grateful for their loyalty, dedication and support of tennis in St. Lucia while we sincerely thank all those who made this tournament a success.

This year, a total of 28 countries including St. Lucia participated in the event and players competed daily to secure a spot into the next round of competition. It all came down to the boys 18S singles finals with Christian Kuehne (SUI) defeating Christopher Heck (CAN) 7-6(7-3) 2-6 7-6(7-1) and in the girls 18s singles finals Dasha Plekhanova (CAN) defeated Sydney Clarke (BAH) 6-1 6-3. On the finals side of doubles, Sydney Clarke (BAH) and Tangia Riley-Cordrington (BAR) was defeated by Zeba Jamal and Anjali Mogili both from (USA) 6-1 6-0. The boys doubles saw Aidan Carter and Adam Ramkissoon from (TTO) defeating Romani Mayers (BAR) and Donte Armbrister (BAH) 7-6(7-4) 6-0 to claim the championship.

The Saint Lucia Tennis Association thanks all players, parents, coaches and family for participating in this event and once again, gratitude goes out to Windward & Leeward Brewery Limited for being the main sponsor of the 35th Annual Coca Cola ITF Junior Tennis Tournament.
