CMO Reports More Zika Cases

Health officials are confirming an increase in the number of cases of the Zika virus, as they roll out a new surveillance system for the disease.
Chief medical officer Dr. Merlene Fredericks says primary health care facilities are recording increases in the number of patients seeking medical assistance for itchy skin rashes, as opposed to the typical high fever and body pains associated with Zika.
She says the number of confirmed cases of Zika in Saint Lucia now stands at 8.
