Chamber SME “Finance Buzz”

On July 25th 2017 at the Finance Administration Center in Point Seraphine the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture will host its SME Finance Buzz. This is a Member, purpose built event, designed to specifically help the Chamber better understand the needs of its members in the area of “Improving Knowledge of and Access to Finance.” This Forum will help inform the work of the Project Funded by the German Savings Bank Foundation; “Financial Inclusion of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union”, which is being piloted in St. Lucia. Where the Chamber is an implementing partner.

Members will be brought up to date on the work of the Chamber, discuss what are the specific issues and areas which members wish the Chamber, and the Project to provide support in “Improving  Knowledge of and Access to Finance.” Thereafter there will be a short presentation on “Key Performance Indicators for SMEs – Key for Success”, by Dr. Juergen Engel, the Project Manager of German Savings Bank Foundation who has had decades of experience in SME development, not just in Germany but all over the world. He will impart some of his knowledge on SME development and placing SMEs in a better financial position.

The Chamber intends to use the forum to identify areas of support which members may need and that this three year innovative project “Financial Inclusion of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in the Easter Caribbean Currency Union”,  may be able provide support working closely with the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture.

The Chamber hopes that the targeted members come out in large numbers for the event and help document the needs of SME’s in the area of “Improving Knowledge of Finance and Access to Finance”.
