Bracing For Brexit Backlash

A retired banker is predicting significant volatility in the Caribbean’s relationship with the United Kingdom and the European Union, now that the people of the UK have voted to leave the EU.
Marius St. Rose says he was shocked by the 52% to 48% result of Thursday’s referendum.
He says Saint Lucia and the rest of the Caribbean should brace for both short and long term ramifications from the development, which has sent financial markets into a tailspin and sparked concern over the status of current trade, investment and aid projects.
