Belle Vue Development Committee Independence celebrations

(PRESS RELEASE) – As our 39th Independence Anniversary approaches, the Belle Vue Development Committee invites all St.Lucian’s to come celebrate a fun-filled family and sports day on Sunday 18th February.

The day will commence at 5:00 am with a health walk from the Belle Vue gap to Vivancelle. Light refreshments will be served after the health walk. From 10:00 till 2pm come be entertained by a series of 10 over cricket matches between Belle Vue and Morne Cayenne.

Cricket will be followed by track and field races followed by basketball at 6pm. We have also catered for children considering that they can take part in fun sports and other child-friendly activities. The event will culminate with an exquisite display of footballs skills as our young men and women form their five a side teams to battle it out on the Belle Vue Multipurpose Court in street football.

Residents are encouraged to form teams to participate in the track and field activities and are asked to contact Anita Felix at 17585197915 or any other member of the Belle Vue Development committe. Please note that the registration fee for the street football is $5.00 per player. Lots of prizes will be given out for the various events. Musical entertainment will be provided by DJ Wayne Sounds. A solid bar and kitchen await.

Thus, we invite everyone to be a part of a perfect opportunity to display national pride and love for Fair Helen. Also we urge individuals to spread the word about this event.
