Taiwan Fellowship Recipient and Social Scientist Denys Springer believes that Dominica Republic should have maintained ties with Taiwan instead of switching allegiance. Taiwan lost Dominica Republic as a diplomatically ally in May when the country switched ties to China; ending a 77-year-old relationship. Springer says it is a bad deal.
