Holy Family University- Lakewood, N.J. – Holy Family University senior Taurai Augustin (Castries, Saint Lucia/St. Mary’s College Secondary School) earned All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) honors in the 800-meter run and was part of the 4×400-meter relay team that earned All-CACC accolades as well as the Tigers took part in the fourth annual CACC Championship hosted by Georgian Court University on Sunday.

* Augustin finished first overall in the 800-meter run to garner All-CACC first team honors for the third time in his career in the event. He won the race in back-to-back years in 2015 and 2016. Augustin finished the event in 1:55.12.
* Augustin was also part of the 4×400-meter team that earned All-CACC second team honors. The team also included freshmen Jamarii Green(Fayetteville, N.C./Fayetteville Christian School), Ahmed Toure (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) and George Dorsey III (New Haven, Conn./James Hillhouse). The Tigers finished second overall in the event in 3:24.44.
* The 4×100-meter relay team of sophomore Gideon Sackor (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan), junior Onasi Cuevas (West New York, N.J./Memorial), freshman Bretton Rigsbee (Bronx, N.Y.) and Green finished third overall in a school record time of 43.38 seconds. The same four set the now former school-record previously this season at the Stockton Invitational with a time of 44.04 seconds.
* Augustin also took part in the 1,500-meter run and finished third overall; just shy of All-CACC honors. He did however set the school record as he finished in 4:02.38. Augustin has come close on two other occasions this season of breaking the now former record of 4:04.11 set by Fred Tuwei(Nairobi, Kenya/Kaptel) back in 2012.
