August 17th 2015 DPP Talks Initiatives To Protect Young Rape Victims

Convictions in sexual abuse cases in particular where minors are victimized, are worryingly low. This is according to director of public prosecutions Victoria Charles-Clarke.
According to the latest crime statistics from the royal St. Lucia police force, sexual offenses against minors are trending to top last year’s numbers.
The DPP points the finger at the parents and guardians who opt to ‘settle’ out of court.
