Arrest Made in Homicide Investigation

24 year old Miguel Geead succumbed to injuries reportedly sustained during a violent altercation at Garrand, Babonneau on the night of 30 March.

Police sources say Geead was allegedly ambushed by a known assailant and was stabbed multiple times during the skirmish. The 24 year old died at the Victoria hospital hours later on 31 March.

Police have since detained one suspect at the Babonneau police station. Miguel Geead was reportedly with friends when he was allegedly attacked. Geead’s death has pushed the national homicide count to five [5] to date in 2018.
