April 8th 2016 Environmental Sensitivity Mapping

The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA), with support from the international maritime organisation (IMO), is working on an environmental sensitivity index map for Saint Lucia.
This type of map is integral to oil spill planning.
In the event of a spill, it would allow authorities to quickly pinpoint the most sensitive areas in Saint Lucia’s territorial waters.
