Activist Wants Vigilance On Human Trafficking

Activist and regional coordinator of education international – Virginia Albert-Poyotte is urging more action on human trafficking in Saint Lucia.

The call comes after 14 foreign nationals were arrested and charged for allegedly working at an exotic club without proper work permits.

A police officer has since been charged in connection with the case, which comes against the back-drop of greater scrutiny on the issue of human rights.
