On Thursday, the government of Saint Lucia, along with sportsmen and women and members of the local Olympic committee, rolled out the red carpet for Saint Lucia’s first Olympian to make it to the finals in the women’s high jump.
Levern Spencer’s ‘homecoming’ is just one in a series of events planned to honour the high jump icon.
